Cats have a natural craving for grass and love to nibble on fresh stalks. What may seem surprising in a carnivorous animal has a simple explanation: the velvet paws use it to regurgitate the undigested fur swallowed during grooming. If they did not remove the fur balls from their bodies again with cat grass, a malt paste or something similar, health problems such as constipation or even an intestinal blockage could occur. Especially for house cats that don't have access to a meadow, offering an alternative is therefore important.
King Catnip's cat grass can be planted at home to serve healthy, fresh grass to your velvet paw. It contains fiber and is a natural source of B vitamins and antioxidants. The kit includes high-quality cat grass seeds, a small shovel and soil. The seeds can be conveniently sown directly in the pot.
Weight: 0.058 kg1. Place the 2 bags of coconut soil into the pot.
2. Gently add 150ml water and leave for a minute to absorb.
3. Carefully break up the soil and remove around ¼. Placing it on the upturned lid. You will use this to cover the seeds in a minute.
4. Sprinkle the seeds evenly over the compost.
5. Place the remaining soil lightly over the seeds to cover.
6. Place the pot in a warm and ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight.
7. Remember to keep the soil damp to the touch but not over water.
8. Allow 3-4 days and the grass will begin shooting up! Once sprouted you can reposition the pot to a window still or other sunny area to encourage further growth.
The strong, aromatic scent of King Catnip organic catnip magically attracts most cats. The popular herb comes from an organic catnip farm located in Seattle in the foothills of Mount Rainier. It is not for nothing that this location is considered ideal for the plant: it offers excellent climatic conditions. The pure water from the mountain glaciers also contributes to the good growing conditions, making fertilizers and chemicals superfluous.
For the organic catnip toys, the loose catnip and the catnip spray, only the leaves of the catnip are used because they give off a more attractive, more effective and longer-lasting scent than the stems, which are often found in cheap products from other brands. However, King Catnip does not simply throw away this plant component. The stems are used to make the catnip sticks, which are a natural dental care product.
