Where synthetic material is otherwise used in most dog toys, the core of the toy hippo is made of coconut fiber, a natural, renewable raw material. For the exterior, vegetable-tanned suede is used, saved from the landfill to still have a use. The hippo is sewn together with natural cotton threads and also glued with non-toxic glue.
